Walkers and Cyclists

Saughy Rigg is the ideal base for a walking or cycling holiday. In fact almost 90% of our guests are walkers. We are situated just to the North of Hadrian’s Wall with the new Hadrian’s Wall National Trail and the Pennine Way passing very close by. The North Pennine Cycle Way passes our gate and the Hadrian Cycle way passes very close by.
We offer a pick up and set down service for trail walkers and will also pick guests up from local public transport points.
After having so many of our guests who are walkers we feel we
are very aware of their needs and priorities. All our guests receive a warm friendly welcome with a cup of tea or coffee
and a piece of home made cake on arrival.
